I have a question for you "older' person, you have a lot more experience and knowledge with these time-line machines:

What does it mean by "treadle powered"?

Many older domestic machines could be set up to run off of an old fashioned foot powered treadle, without using electricity. That set up looks like it could run off of treadle power or electricity, though the description states the machine is 220 volt. My guess is that someone brought the machine over from abroad. (Alternatively one could use a step-up transformer or swap out the motor.)

Futura, do you mean it works with the foot paddle without electricity? Will our foot exhausted with long hours of sewing? Yes, he mentioned it is not the right volt for Canadian here, I don't I should buy it.

It looks like a nice machine for a collector but too much hassle to convert it and get it going. I don't know the market in Canada but I would imagine that there would be some unused industrial machines available if you took your time and picked through what was available. It is probably worth having a look at anything available in the northern states of the US as well.
