Hi,

I am making a 1930's style suit with peak lapel. I am up to draping the lapel facing. I roll stitched the lapel, however, I just realized that the peak is still a little bit floppy. does anyone know any tricks to make the peak stiff?

Many thanks.

In my experience using tailors tape on the edge of the interfacing can help to keep the tension (Rory Duffy has a coatmatking series on youtube where he shows it).
Perhaps this can help

You can place a piece of silesia/pocketing in the peak of the lapel, and padstitch it in.
You can also change the direction of your padstitching for the peak, holding it so the tip rolls towards the body.

Thank you for the replies. I've already taped and pad-stitched the lapel. I'll try Rory's video though. thanks

i did tape on the borders and base of the peak, work pretty good
