Title: Fitting Zipper

Using the instructions given by posaune and Peter, here is the results.

In my taste, would like more fabric covering the exterior of the zipper, can I add to the pattern front without affecting fit?

There are a number of ways to put in zippers.
Poulins book shows a method.
The other books show methods.
These are good resources for beginners.

I have a collection of about nine or so methods, trouble is applying to the system which created the draft.

I am thinking adding to the front like this, marked in red ink:
