This pair look like they could be restored to get a good result. Plenty of blade left and the preferred Simplex hinge.

Hello Henry,
I found one of the Ebay pictures and could see them more clearly, the 4 1/2's are what I normally work as most projects of my requests and projects are lighter weight cloths.
When I have to use 6N or larger, my hands hurt too much for days afterwards.
Thank you Hutch for posting photo.
Kind regards

Jeffery,
Something that will be interesting to see is when you get your 6N pair back from being sharpened is whether they are much easier to use and reduce the load on your wrists while cutting. One of the main gains of having shears in really good condition and sharp is the cutting load is very low and the tactile feedback is a lot better. With a long handle pair like your 6N when they are in good condition you can actually "feel" the fabric while you are cutting which improves your control and accuracy.
