The list wouldn't be complete without mentioning Linton Tweeds:

I just checked the Linton Tweed online shop. The fact they sell outside of 'trade' is good, but the cloth names are weird. There's nothing there really suitable for making up traditional men's tailoring. It looks more like the cloths used for making up ladies' fashion suits, skirts, which is okay if that's what's required.

So I wasn't completely off-base :) The cloths look very much like many a Chanel jacket I've seen at weddings over the decades.

Funny you should say that, Henry, here's a Linton Tweeds jacket  that I made last summer for my nephew's outdoor wedding. I could zip it up and be warm *and* smart. I don't know if you can see in the picture but it's got some gold metallic thread in the weave. Just the right amount of glitz for a wedding. And did I say it kept me warm...

[ps: let me know if no picture displays, just working out how to do this]

Don't forget ACORN FABRICS, shirting and other stuff.  I have got a lot of stuff from them.

I did say "here are a few... didn't I?" Only joking, I pop it on the list.

You did mention it Graham, but, it was on the copy on the play-pen which Hutch had copied to sort out a coding question I had. :)

Very nice. Like a leather jacket style, but tweed.

Hi kate,

I tweaked your post to put the image in the center. Really nice jacket.

Thank you very much, Hutch.

About the photo - I realised also that it shouldn't have been in-line - maybe if I'd put it in a separate paragraph of its own. I'll be making more biker jackets later in the year, in denim,  so I'll  try again at posting photos then!
