i bought few month ago this book by Roberto Cabrera and Denis Antoine. and i have to say, it's just an amazing book to start with, pressing process, canvasing, pad stitching, sleeve mounting, everything is in it. i can share my happiness about this book, it's just a must have for anybody starting. hope this helps

The only book I can think of that's similar is Practical Tailoring by J E liberty (1933). I have a PDF which I downloaded from somewhere for free, but I can't find a direct link that doesn't require registration (anyone?).

The book is a little difficult to understand at times, but worth persevering with because there's some excellent information in it.
