Trousers Ironwork - Die Zuschneiderkunst, 1938
« on: March 10, 2016, 07:15:43 AM »
A compiled pdf of ironwork for trousers from Die Zuschneiderkunst, 1938 (which was at C&T, but I can't find it. It's different from the pinned guide that was posted in the trousers & waistcoat forum). Posted by either Sator or Schneidergott.

The captions under the photos are in German, but the English text explains them. If you're not familiar with German, "Abb." is an abbreviation of abbildung, or illustration/figure. In English it is usually Fig.1,2,3 etc.

Note that this ironwork comes from a time when the cloth commonly used was usually heavier than cloth often used today. Making it more stubborn, but also robust and responsive to the shrinking and stretching in ironwork. The instructions show som pretty rough handling of the cloth.

The pdf can be downloaded here - (about 13mb).
